NBTM Church History
On February 12, 1995, God opened the doors of New Beginning Tabernacle Ministries (NBTM) at Curtis Elementary School on Route 10 in Chester, Virginia, with Pastor Cleveland L. Hill as the under Sheppard. The first service was a power-packed, anointed, Holy Ghost filled day of Pentecost. Approximately two-hundred fifty (250) attendees witnessed a move of God to conform His blessings upon this ministry. Many souls gave their lives to the Lord and committed themselves to work for the Lord at NBTM that day.

On October 6, 1995, the Lord blessed us to purchase the church property at 3455 Broad Rock Blvd. in Southside Richmond, Va. Major renovations had to be made to the interior of this 275 seat sanctuary. With the love, talent, dedication and support of our members and friends, we were able to have our "Dedication Service" on December 9, 1995. God sent many skilled laborers who worked day and night to beautify this temple.
N.B.T.M., a family oriented church, was established upon the Word of God and based on “love” as a foundation. We endeavor to fulfill the Divine call of God to win souls for His Kingdom. The vision God gave Pastor Cleveland Hill for N.B.T.M was to serve the community and become a beacon of light to all generations, nationalities, ethnicities and “whosoever will come” for a new beginning.
In 1999, the Lord opened a door to foreign missions. Pastor Cleveland Hill, Evangelist Harriet Hill and a NBTM delegation, ministered in a crusade in Nairobi, Kenya. Many souls were blessed in the crusade that drew hundreds of Kenyans from neighboring towns to witness the move of God.To accommodate the vision, 12 acres of prime inner city property with 5 buildings were purchased in 2002 to begin community based ministries. God has taken us to a Great Dimension of faith through times of testing, trials, challenges and many storms. Through fasting and prayer, we have become more than conquerors doing exploits for the Kingdom of God equipping the Saints for the work of the ministry. Salvation, healing, deliverance, supernatural debt cancellations, wealth transfers, restored relationships, spiritual growth, and renewed hope are some of the testimonies resounding out of the mouths of congregates of NBTM.
